RxLightning is a high-growth, venture-backed health tech services company based outside of Louisville KY. The company partners with pharmaceutical/biotech companies, hubs, and specialty pharmacies to improve and streamline the specialty enrollment and intake process for all stakeholders.

The Oncology Program Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the overall operations of the oncology program within a healthcare organization. They collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of high-quality oncology services to patients. The Oncology Program Director plays a crucial role in planning, organizing, and coordinating the program's resources and activities, while also maintaining compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

Job Responsibilities:

· Program Development and Oversight: Develop and implement strategies to enhance and expand oncology services. Collaborate with physicians and administrators to establish program goals, objectives, and strategies that align with the organization's mission. Monitor program performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement necessary changes to enhance program effectiveness.

· Resource Management: Manage the allocation of resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget, to ensure efficient and effective program operations. Oversee the recruitment, training, and evaluation of program staff, including oncology nurses, clinicians, and support staff. Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, such as pharmaceutical companies and community organizations, to secure resources and funding for the program.

· Quality Assurance and Compliance: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, such as accreditation standards and government regulations, and maintain appropriate documentation. Develop and implement quality improvement initiatives to monitor and enhance the delivery of oncology services. Stay updated with advances in oncology treatment, research, and best practices to ensure the program remains at the forefront of cancer care.

· Patient Care Coordination: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care, ensuring smooth transitions between different care settings and service providers. Develop and implement care protocols and guidelines to ensure consistent, evidence-based practice. Facilitate communication and collaboration between healthcare professionals involved in the care of oncology patients.

· Program Promotion and Education: Develop and implement marketing and outreach strategies to raise awareness of the program's services within the community. Organize educational programs and events to disseminate information about cancer prevention, treatment options, and supportive care services. Participate in community engagement activities, including partnerships with local organizations and participation in health fairs or events.

Role Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, nursing, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare management or oncology program management.

· In-depth understanding of oncology services and treatment modalities.

· Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, accreditation standards, and quality improvement practices.

· Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

· Proven ability to work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team.

· Demonstrated experience in resource management, including financial oversight and staff supervision.

· Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

· Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

· Proficiency in relevant software applications and electronic medical record systems.
